Agreed it does make a big difference what ages two people are.

She is 27. But If I was 27 I would not be dating a 15 year old as that just seems off for my tastes. I understand that some cultures may think that is fine -- not mine though. Never thought I would date a younger person but life can surprise you sometimes.

Generally, if someone is that young and hasn't had a lot of experience, chances are you won't achieve something serious. So if you expect something long-term, I sincerely doubt that will happen. It may last a few years but even then she is probably going to end up wanting to explore.

If anything you should encourage something casual. They are at an age where exploration, going out, having fun, and figuring out what they want in the future is important. Especially if the girl isn't old enough to even legally drink yet.

I started dating a 26 year old when I was 19. It was good, we were together for like 3 years. I was more mature than he was and that's a fact (case in point: he lived with his parents the whole time we were together, pretty sure he still does).

People are people and compatibility is about personality and ability to communicate, not age. Give it a try, although I think the odds are probably stacked against you because as previously stated, 20 year old girls are crazy. Most of them have no idea what they want, but that may not be true of this girl.
