OK, Muse have a new pile of dirge out at the moment and it's called The Resistance.

To me, and I can't see how others can disagree, it is one big rip-off of Blondie's Call Me.

It is basically the same song. I don't even think Muse have tried to hide it, either.

Also, does anyone think the keyboard riff to The Resistance is the same, but slower, as the guitar riff to Billy Idol's White Wedding?

Anyone? Just me then...

I've never liked Muse for precisely this reason. Unoriginal. I realize there's nothing new under the sun, but their entire career has been built on blatantly biting other peoples shit. (n)

No surprise considering that their legacy as a band is being to Radiohead what The Monkees were to The Beatles.

They had about 4 good songs on the first two albums and the rest was and still is self-indulgent wankery.

I like the Absolution album (most of it anyway) and Muscle Museum from the first album. A lot.

Not into the recent shit.

People started to call Matt Belamy a guitar virtuoso and a modern day Mozart and the silly fucker started to believe it
