Is that season 3? I am only about 1/2 way through season 2 at the moment -it's bloody good but I wish they'd get more into Drapers past. Pfft.

I've only seen the first episode so far but I didn't love it so I've got those other ones just sitting on the DVR. I'm nervous because that show was so amazing--I think the only drama I still watch (other than Lost).

my issue with this absolutely awesome show is that the individual episodes are a little boring and leave you wanting a lot more. it's easier for me to watch the season marathon style, like a very long awesome movie.

so far it's pretty good though anyway. i did expect more out of the grandpa/little girl thing.

Critics loved that Mad Men did a lot of emotions with looks and pauses, instead of dialogue. It seems like the writers this season are really trying to make them happy.

Could the Draper parents be any worse to their kids? The Mom has been extra cold to them, especially the daughter this season.

The writing for the scene with Peggy's mom and her about moving to the city was excellent.

I'm trying to catch up on so many shows that I haven't given this one a shot yet. Although I must say having someone like Joan on the show makes me happy to be a curvy girl. (y)

We have been watching Season 1 the past few days and will start Season 2 tomorrow. The scotch consumption in this house has gone waaaaaaay up over the past week. Also I am fighting the urge to start smoking again. Also earlier this evening I gave mr.p permission to make out with chicks in his office, on the conditions that a) it is election night and b) the water cooler is filled with creme de menthe.

I knew it was going downhill fast the season when they started to promote it as "The Sexiest Drama On TV". Or some shit like that.

I've watched up to episode three of the third season. no complaints really, apart from the fact that Roger Sterling needs to be in about twice as many scenes. he's awesome.

It's just not grabbing me as much as it has in the past. I enjoy the slow burn, but I just hope it's leading up to something decent.

It's still great, just feels a bit off for some reason. But hey who can complain about blackface/Peggy stoned/Pete Campbell doing the Charleston?

I still haven't seen this show. I'm right up the ass of breaking bad, it is by and far my favorite TV show. Since they're both AMC series I guess I should check it out

Breaking Bad is so good I get a queasy stomach just saying it, the writing is over the top and the production values are on the level of the finest theatrical releases out today.

Do you guys like Mad Men better?

Joan Holloway is so so sexy. She should be in every scene.

I'm also in love with Breaking Bad. The two series really can't be compared. I must say...every episode of Breaking Bad kept me on the edge of my seat. There is NO show out there like that one. Fucking amazing.

Mad Men has been slow this season....but I have a feeling it is building up to something good.

I'm glad your saying that, sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who realizes how stunningly fresh Breaking Bad is.

(Just started watching Breaking Bad, and yeah, it's really great. That fucking acid/bathtub thing was the nastiest shit EVER.)

So I have a theory for from this past episode of Mad Men - SPOILER ALERT if you haven't seen it. Season 3 episode 5 - "The Fog" - theory below,

I think that their baby got switched with that prison guard's baby, like he stole their baby. Because of that scene with Don going to bring Betsy flowers, and seeing the prison guard and his weird ass reaction. NOTHING else happened in that scene. I guess it could just be that the guy is ashamed because he didn't live up to what he promised Don as far as changing to be a better man, but I don't know. I have a feeling something is there.

You think? Maybe...they need to do something to make the season a bit more interesting.

Glad you're loving Breaking Bad. SO GOOD!

Christina Hendricks is the only reason I occasionally watch the show.

How many more episodes to go in this season over there in the US? (Just trying to figure out how long it is before the Season 3 DVDs start popping up at my local dodgy-bike-bloke stands.)
