...I'd like to see this, and see what people can come up with on the remix tip, "Grey Album" style.. ;)
What would you mix it with?
The Stones -Rolling Ill?
Thats my 2 cents.

I'd take Doublecheck Your Head style over Grey Album style, since the Grey Album was pretty much a blown opportunity (despite being a pretty awesome idea - the execution itself was lackluster).
Rolling Ill? Dude, that barely makes any kind of sense.

Jesus! Critical much? I'm sure you'd be able to do a MUCH better job, but Grey Album was nice and pretty well received.

Some of the beats on The Grey Album are pretty nice. I think DM executed it just a little better than okay.

Mashups were played out the day that term was made up by no-talent non-DJ hacks. It's just one of those things that, as a DJ, you saw going on in 80s . . Lots. So, when everybody got a computer with garageband they started doing the exact same shit that DJs were doing a long ass time ago and called it "mashups". Shit is just a wack term for people with no production chops. I mean, LTI is pretty much rock beats with rap lyrics, as was a bunch of Run DMC. The thing is, at least in the 80s people put effort into the production instead of just slapping shit together. In a live situation, with two turntables, that's fine, but when you're sitting down and actually putting tracks together there's no excuse for thinking you've got something special when all you are doing is a simple loop and tempo match. Errr! Sorry, this topic makes me mad.
But yeah, License to Ill a cappellas would be dope, especially if they did an official press. Just no more "mashups." Dig your samples and learn how to make a track already.
