7 windows and about 8 mirrors but 4 of those are just decorative (i.e. pretty useless ones)

Six mirrors. Four of them however are all together on one wall, so they sort of count like one big one, if ya know what I mean.
Windows, let's see. Seven I think. No wait, eight. Nine if I include the glass door out to the utility balcony off the kitchen.
I don't know how to expand on this in any way that would be remotely interesting.

well being in China I'd roll with feng shui...I wonder if any extra thought went into the design of your place and just where and why those windows are situated...(lb)...for some reason I picture clothes lines outside of those windows as well...like Shanghai years ago or something...

we only have two windows in our apartment :( it's like a cave. Thing is, it's not that dinky of an apartment. But at least one is the sliding door in the living room that's pretty big.
We also have two mirrors. I need a full length one, though.

Well, I don't know enough about feng shui to talk about it without sounding like a complete twat. I do know that every flat here in my complex has a view of at least one water feature, though, which is a feng shui thing. Also you do see a lot of clothes hanging out on people's balconies here (as opposed to the poles that hang out the windows like in many other parts of the city, which is I imagine what you are thinking of) which, in a complex of similar caliber in the US or the UK would probably be frowned upon.
If anyone is curious about where I live, do a google pic search with the keywords "Yanlord Gardens Shanghai". It's a weird place. Nice, but a bit like living in a Vegas resort or something.

I had a friend once propose that all international government negotiations should have to be discussed whilst eating ice cream cones.

I live in a cage with only two windows
none of them south facing
and one that totally wouldn't meet fire code regulation size requirements
oh, and 3 mirrors.

won mini golf, lost....well, I guess this button that I got out of a vending machine thingy. it had a guy blindfolded and the word (name?) "arrego". it was kind of creepy. it was on my purse, and it fell off and I kind of just looked at it and left it on the ground. seemed unlucky anyway.

I tried keeping a prayer plant (http://www.learn2grow.com/gardeningguides/houseplants/caremaintenance/~/media/images/articles/PrayerPlantInBasket%20250x247%20jpg.ashx) in my dungeon because the lady at the planting store said they didn't require a lot of light.
I told her that i was talking like zero direct sunlight here and she was all "oh yeah yeah it'll be fine" which turned out to be bullshit.
:(

try anything else?...anything?...at this juncture I'm willing to go with like decorative bamboo shoots or something...the place feels void of organic life...i'm also thinking of some full spectrum lighting for the darkness that is on the way...

I don't think I am in need of light therapy just yet, but I do keep multiple table lamps in my living room/bedroom. I don't even mind the lack of windows in the winter because Ive made my place quite cozy.
These fancy stained glass lightbulbs (http://ace.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/p3082656reg.jpg) also do alot to add cheer to any source of light
oh, and I take vitamin D supplements daily. word.

ohhhhh...good idea...a prize will also be rewarded for those living at the lowest altitude...I grew up in Richmond B.C which was technically below sea level...dykes and levy systems like Holland or New Orleans...
