I have been wondering if Japan distributors went ahead and released Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1. Seems hard to believe under the circumstances. However stranger things have probably happened. Below is a web-site that claims the CD is available there.

SOURCE (http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=478903)

Is there anyone from Japan on this board who can confirm or disconfrim this?

When did that site go up with the saying it's available NOW? Japan's official releases always seem to be a few days before the US release. And it's a few days before the Sept. 15 release.

That web-site changed its listing within the past week. However I cannot get a confirmation from the web-site that their suppliers in Japan are actually holding the release in their hands. Do you think the band had already distributed the files to make the Japanese CD's? And if so does that mean that the Japanese suppliers have control over physical distribution of the CD in Asia? This is all speculation and I wish we had a board member who is in Japan right now and reading this thread...

Thanks cj hood! If true it seems strange to me that Japan would release so early under the circumstances.

It's not available on amazon.co.jp nor hmv.co.jp, so I definitely vote for "of course not!"

And "Tadlock's Glasses (featuring Enya)"???

Lee Majors Come Again (featuring Lee Majors) HAHA

I live in Japan ! The release date was supposed to be the 9th of this month, but the album has been delayed with no release confirmed yet (according to the Japanese EMI website).

Also, that would kind of suck for the rest of the world wouldn't it? I don't think they'd do that.

Thanks for that information. Now I think that web-site may be trying to 'rip' people off or get their money for a pre-order of an import item without a release date. It does not seem right for EIL to act like it is "out now" when I told them in an email the HSC Pt 1 release was delayed. I think these online vendors are tricky (and possible make these things up to get cash before they have the product). For example HMV acts like the new Beastie CD is coming out Nov 16 2009 (http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=220;1;-1;-1;5&sku=922739). But is that date accurate and why are they the only vendor in the word with that release date?

Yeah, it seems like a tricky trick. I'm going to check at my local HMV over the weekend just to be sure, but it seems like the release date's TBA here, the same as everywhere else.

I emailed eil before Sept. 9 to ask if that was the accurate release date and they said yes. I CALLED yesterday to see if the item was in stock and they said that it was out in Japan now but would take time to ship to the UK which is why the 3 to 4 weeks before they could ship to the US. So I looked and found http://www.emimusic.jp/intl/beastieboys/

I have dealt with eil a lot and have always been 100% satisfied, but I think they have this one wrong.

Incidentally HMV Japan had the release for the Japan remastered PB, CYH, IC, and HN for release on 9/9/2009 I preordered them and then received notification on Tuesday that they had not yet been shipped by the distributor, so it looks like there is a fair amount of confusion among Japan distributors and retailers as to what the new release schedule is.

Well that is good to know regarding eil. Yes I think you are probably right there is confusion among some distributers and retailers.

I order all my japan cd's from cdjapan, it does show that the release date is postponed, with no new date. It does show the japan release will have a extra track and come with stickers.

The import shop below also states that there is one extra track. Was not sure if it could be trusted though because they are acting like they
have the CD in stock now:

If the cd was out somewere on earth, it would have long been leaked on the net. I really wish the feat with Enya is true though.

True that. Also, your signature is nothing short of phenomenal.

To follow up, I checked at the mighty Tower Records in Shibuya at the weekend, they didn't have the album, and they don't know when it's going to be released yet. Like Yauch rhymed, I guess we've all got to 'just stay patient.'

wtf? ohio? is that really the wrap ohio get with residents of other states? ...being out of the loop and generally seperated from the world.
it's where im from and i never got that feeling there. what about that giant corn belt out west. there are like 3 people per square mile out there. they will buy your house if you move out to south dakota, and ohio is getting the rural rep? come on...
