A colleague of mine just asked me what the date was and I was like “the 11th of course”…she looked at me blankly and I was like “you know, that most ominous day”…returned with another blank stare…

dude, it took me 2 hrs to get to work. my friend, it took her nearly 3, she was stuck at the queenboro bridge for over an hour. we have 45 min. commutes. and it was mostly because the cops with the big guns were EVERYWHERE. checking every car/truck/bus, giving the shifty eyes to every person on the train... it gets exhausting.
that said, it is a terrible tragedy that occurred, and my heart goes out to the many victims. but i wish there was a less gaudy way to memorialize this event. i also hate the fact that ground zero is a tourist destination, looking at a gaping construction hole where people died is gross to me.

id pretty much bet my left ballsac that there will never be another event like that in the us on 9/11
what fucking dummy would do something like that on the day where cops are EVERYWHERE with big guns?
a classmate of mine and another classmates' dad died and i was downtown that day and all that, it was terrible, yeah. i dont mind tourists going down there to check it out.. i think its natural to want to. what feels dirty to me is the tee shirts and bumper stickers, i mean come on now

I think it's dumb to give so much weight to the day. that's what they wanted, the terrorists, that is. they're all, "look! we made america cry! yes!"
I think people should quietly mourn and remember the people who died, but not make a big production out of it.

Okay, wait, hold up....I mean, shouldn't there just be the one "ballsac" in the middle?
oh yeah, I knew it was the 11th of sept but it didn't twig it was that war excuse day again.
heh, so did anything happen?

Well, it's part of history now. Just like people who visit Auschwitz. I don't think it has anything to do with a sick fascination as much as it does remembrance and history and all that crap.
I always find it dumb when they amp up security one day and then forget about it the next. Al Qaeda isn't stupid enough to try something in NYC again on 9/11. They waited 8 years between the bombing in '93 and the attacks in '01. They're patient, calculating, and wait until peoples' guards are down, which is scary as hell.

I was walking to work today which is near the WTC and there was a group of protesters about how 9/11 was an inside job.
Ragardless of if it were terrorist attacks or an inside job, there were people around who lost someone in the whole mess.
If people want to protest can't they at least try to be a little considerate?

I think people should quietly mourn and remember the people who died, but not make a big production out of it.It's sad that a bunch of half-mast flags aren't good enough.

You know what?....I just have to say that’s cheap shit...So many people of all walks of life are terribly aware of the domino effect, the insane consequences, repercussions, resulting history and subsequent horrors attributed to the event...your disrespect for the innocent and the event is your bad...(n)
