my college friends and i used to have a mild joke-obsession with swayze (to this day i'm still not sure why, i think we just thought his name was funny). from that scene in red dawn where he can't find his pockets to that scene in red dawn where he tries (but fails) to hide a huge snot bubble, he was just a class act. i remember once we had a patrick swayze vs. kurt russel movie night where we had a marathon of terrible swayze and russel movies (obviously lots of beer was involved in this), i can't remember who won

I admire him for working 12 hour days on "The Beast" while fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer. he said he wanted to go out on his own terms and that his work is his legacy.
