Does anyone know if that main synth line is a sample or original?

The reason I ask is in the video commentary for Hello Nasty, Adrock mentions Gary Numan, but I don't know if he's saying the keyboard used reminds him of Numan or that he sampled Numan.

anyone else download the mp3 version of hello nasty and have this song skip like crazy. sounds like a horrible rip.. unless my download was spotty. i havent noticed it on any other songs.. but i havent really sat and listened to the complete album either.
