go to the doctors. he will give you some eye drops, takes 7-10 days to get rid of it. if you have contacts you should throw them out and wear your glasses for the duration.

my father was a sick bastard. what he used to do (and absolutely swore by it, no bullshit) was put one and a half capfulls of bleach in a bucket of water (like the size that you wash your car with), mix it up good and then pour it slowly on his face with his eyes wide open. I have witnessed it and have seen it take effect in less than 4 days. Gospel truth.

Def go to the doc. You will need eye drops for the infection to clear up. Change your pillow case daily. Throw away any contacts, eye drops, makeup, etc you were using and buy all new. If you have pain or wake up with crusty eyelids, soak your eyes with a warm washcloth. Pink eye is very contagious so WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY!!!!!

actually I remember using a warm towel to help out. I mean it wont cost anything and you really dont need to wait in line. The pharmacist could actually point you the medicine much quicker than some quack doc having to pay 20 bucks just to get checked.

If you're really interested go to Yahoo finance and hit the ticker for INSV...I believe that's it bc it's been a while-Then hit headlines. They got FDA approval for some Pink Eye medicine a couple months back. Sorry I don't know or care about company names I can only tell you their ticker symbol.
