I stopped watching Peep Show halfway through Series 3 when it started feeling more and more like a sitcom and less like real life. What are they on now? Series 6? Deary me.

I only have series 1 + 2 on DVD, which I absolutely love (Favourites being the bowling with the young goth girl, the rainbow rythms and taboo-sex with nancy and sausage-pinning nazi) and have seen bits of series 4, which I thought was quite good. (Was that the series where Mark and Sophie got married? And I can remember something about Mark and Jez on a boat and a dead dog (?))
They're selling a DVD box with series 1-5 on amazon for 15 quid. Which is f*ing cheap, as the 1-6 boxset costs 40. I think I might order it, as the pound is historically low and for me and mah euros it's dirt cheap.

Ok, I'm completely up to date now on the peep show front. Had the week off and watched EVERYTHING.

Anyone else see the season 6 finale? I thought it was a bit disappointing. Normally it ends with something huge and dramatic (ie s3: Mark nearly dying and getting 'accidentally' engaged. s4: Marriage and immediate break-up, s5: "Oh yeah Mark, btw, I'm pregnant and it could be either yours or that of 2 other men.") but now it was just a bit 'meh'. Mark lied again and Jeremy has fucked things up with Elena, but nothing really 'OMG!' has happened.
I hoped on the baby popping out and being black, showing that Sophie is a filthy whore and has also slept with Johnson.
Srsly, I sooo hate Sophie. She should've just sticked with that Bastard Jeff and let Mark get off with Dobby... But I supposed if that had happened I wouldn't sit here ranting about the show.
God, I so want to know what happens next season. Mark + baby should be utter awkwardness.

thanks for the spoiler (y)

Think I watched it up to season 5. Don't have a TV so always have to britflix it or torrent it. I do love David Mitchell though and always read his articles (which appear midnight Saturday on guardian.co.uk or buy the observer) and find him too funny.

I haven't spoiled anything. Mark and Jez ALWAYS fuck up. That's not a spoiler.

Btw, i think I'm slightly falling in love with David Mitchell. He's so fucking funny and clever that I forgive him for looking weird and geeky. He's on pretty much every panel game atm, and he pwns all of them. And indeed his guardian colums kick arse.

I didn't even click that last nights episode was the end of the series :\

Incidentally, I'm just about to watch the new HIGNFY with David Mitchell as the host

I was just teasing on the spoiler part (thus the (y) ), I don't mind. More of a pre-warning not to give more details on the baby ;)

Dave Mitchell's column today is poor for him actually, but all commentators who draw from real life can't have something funny every week though I suppose

I thought his column was quite good, but that's because I totally understand what he means (I also live in a shitty flat and never chuck my stuff out unless it's broken). That's what I like about David Mitchell, he might be on practically every comedy programme on telly (and radio), being called 'the new Stephen Fry' and earn loads of money, but he's still just a nervous and awkward geek-boy.

i didn't even realize he had a column, i need to start reading these, thanks. is this apartment one really one of his less funny ones? because i thought it was hilarious, if only for the fact that i too want to live somewhere classier, bigger, swankier, but only if it can be done instantly and by magic.

maybe I just didn't get it then :)

I try to live in a place for everything kind of way. I've said before but my housemates think I have OCD. I haven't.
