You do bring up an interesting point. And most ppl detest it now so you are going against the grain if you do it.
If you have to go outside to smoke I'd imagine it would be a pretty easy icebreaker to meet the fairer sex by either offering a light or saying something like can you believe this.

the day after were the worst i felt no mater how much i drank when i had smoked boggies the night before.
