Week 2 is upon us. Please bring all shit talk here. For example:
Dear Lara, Natalie, Skinny, and the rest of the Bears faithful,
You're fucked. If Ben had anything remotely close to the offensive line of Peyton or Brady, he'd easily be the best QB in the game, but since he doesn't, he's relegated to No. 2 behind Drew Brees. His stats are insane and it appears finally that our coaching staff is willing to let him loose for 35-40+ passes a game. I'm looking for Parker to have a big day today as well. He had a hamstring issue last week and was lacking explosiveness. As always, our Defense is coming to wreck shit. Honestly, I like Jay Cutler. He comes off as an arrogant asshole (which he may very well be), but I enjoy hearing him speak since he doesn't provide the same old manufactured bullshit that every other QB spews during an interview.
ANYWAY, here's to being another notch in the belt! There's always next week!

I think the Bears are going to go 9-7 but lose the division to the Vikes. I don't think the Vikings are amazing or anything, but their defense is relatively solid and AP is a tank that can not be stopped. Green Bay will probably make that division very interesting, but the Bears D is beat up already and it's only week two. And I don't like Jay Cutler's chances with that weak receiving corps. He's good but I don't think he can work with nothing.
I'm excited for Monday night's game of course. I think we can still put up a great offense even if Addai is having a sloppy start and Gonzalez is gone for a while. Miami isn't a very tough opponent.
Big Ben is a very good quarterback, I admit, but I don't think he's the best in the game. He's at least not the smartest, anyway.
WATCH OUT FOR THE WILDCAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
...and Ben has an amazing football IQ, although he may hold the ball too long. You can't fault the guy for trying to make plays.

I don't think he's dumb by any means, I just think Tom Brady and Peyton Manning know the game so well they are slightly better than Ben. Those three are probably the top three guys right now based on their total careers.

His off-field issues don't suggest he's too bright tho.
...so he banged a hot hotel VIP hostess that thought she could make some money. Her co-workers said afterwards that she gloated about humping him and talked about coming here to see him. Oh, AND she said her boss broke into her house and deleted evidence from her computer. What evidence? Video footage? Who videotapes themselves getting "raped" and keeps it on their home computer? She's a nutcase and yeah, he probably could have used better judgement, but he's still a youngster. He grew up in Ohio for Christ's sake. That should automatically give him until he's 40 to sew his wild oats.
...but Rob, I know you just said that to get under my skin. If I was on the losing end of an inner-state rivalry (where the majority of our teams consistently win championships while being a small market), I'd be salty too, I guess.

Don't forget almost killing himself while driving his Hiyabusa without a helmet or a license through town.
Sounds like a Pittsburgh inferiority complex.
I feel no rivalry with Pitt.
I kind of like most of their teams.

Well, looks like the Philly defense didn't hold the line very well.

Texans had a nice comeback to beat the Titans, making up for their embarrassing loss to the Jets, which doesn't look so bad after Sanchez led NY past the Patriots today...

My god that Oakland/Kansas City game was one of the worst of all time. JaMarcus Russel is the worst starting quarterback in the history of the NFL.

I couldn't agree more on Baby Huey(Russell)

Riiiight.
1) Constantly in the top 5 Most Livable Cities.
2) Excellent city for sports.
3) No traffic issues.
4) All-round beautiful city.
5) Awesome nightlife and scenic shit.
Your city's a shithole. I know firsthand.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to watch my team win.
So how about this weather we're having?!!!!!!!!!!!?
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!?!?!?!

I think Pittsburgh has a better hockey and football team, but most definitely not a better baseball team. Not that anyone cares about baseball anyway...
Finally TO gets a big play. Bills look sharp, LOL @ New England, Tennessee, and Sandy Eggo.

Philly and Pittsburgh are both great towns. each has a championship in a major sport recently...
enjoy it!

i think this applies this year more than any. the playoff race is pretty much over. the teams are playing to finish the schedule, meanwhile college football and NFL are really heating up already. Colin Cowherd was saying baseball's in trouble, especially with NBA training camp around the corner.

Yeah, yeah,...Pittsburgh's the most pristine place in the world and everyone with "Pittsburgh" across their chest is the greatest player to ever play the sport,
and Philly's a pit. I get it. **yawn**
Nobody said anything bad about Pitt.
Just that Big Ben's a bit of an immature dope.
He's a great player, better than my team's QB.
But he's not in the tier of Brady, Brees, or Manning.

Hear, Hear!
If you gave me a choice of which championship out of the 4 I'd prefer the most, I'd want a World Series.

I have to laugh.
As if the NBA occupies a millisecond of MLB's thoughts.
I think the NHL may be giving the NBA a run for their money soon.

Not his fault they lost. He played the game of his life. If anyone is to blame it's the defense. Horrible.

I guess the point Cowherd was making was this year, specifically, the ratings for baseball are down across the board.
this is anywhere outside NY, Boston, LA, or Philadelphia of course. the sports viewing public is going to have to switch their focus once the MLB playoffs begin.
the NFL market rules the US and has taken over full swing in two weeks.
and the NBA market is taking over the world, whether you are a fan or not you must see this happening. I see basketball and soccer as the two sports that the world turns in to.
hockey is only popular in hockey towns. no one outside hockey towns is watching hockey.

Honestly, I like Jay Cutler.
Big Ben is the rich man's Kyle Orton.
Seriously, he's not in my top5 if I were picking QBs to lead my team. I hope your boys get a shot at redemption in the Superbowl this year.
Big Ben was so impressed with the Bear he had to sing about it. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sct9igr7wMA&feature=youtube_gdata)
Drew Brees has to be the best qb in the league as of right now. all he needs is a championship which I don't think he will get in New Orleans

What I see is a league with an alarming decrease in attendance and TV viewers. People are being turned off by the modern NBA game and more importantly, the modern NBA player.
