b) If anything, her body is her one redeeming physical attribute. Her face? Not so much.
c) She doesn't seem the least bit intelligent.
d) Her songs can be slightly catchy, but are, for the most part, horrible.

I felt the same way B. I hated on her.

Then one day I did "Poker Face" for karaoke as a joke and turned out I was really good at it. So then I tried some more of her songs. Then I decided to read a few interviews she's done and the woman is smart.

Her music certainly isn't for everyone but she isn't a completely talentless, air headed hack either.

p.s. I'm not saying that me singing her songs well = why I like her now. It's because of that though that I bothered pursuing finding out more about her in the first place.
