Can't find the thread. i mean i don't get to many these days so probably never posted on it before but i need it now. Whatever, i saw Mogwai and few others this weekend in Briz. Fookin awesome-proper loud,and some of their songs just creep up on you. Like it starts off pretty chilled and then you realise you've got the full force of 4 guitars blasting you with that wall of sound!! So happy i went. And saw Fuck Buttons too, they too were awesome-well worth checking out and i know they've still got a shit load of dates to do .

Wow i'm liking that-will have to check out more. never come across em before. you should def. have a listen to some fuck buttons. i have last album(street horrrsing) which is good but apparently they were pretty awful before that. i care i just hardly get chance to spend time here and check out all threads:)

nice-i did download their most recent album the other day,i'll try that one next. pretty strange all the 9/11 thing that went down with them and that record-being held at airport and shit.

Pixies at Brixton Academy last night. 10/10

It was the whole Doolittle album in order, bookended by B sides of the singles that were released from it in 1989.A second encore had 3 non-Doolittle tracks, Bone Machine and Gigantic from 1988's Surfer Rosa album and finally U-Mass from 1991's final album 'Trompe Le Monde'.

It was a faultless performance,full of the same energy as 20 years ago.The first of 4 nights,it was filmed and you'll be able to download it,get a live cd or USB from this site

Goddamn i so should have just gone!! Did the doolittle tour 20 years ago(i mean i saw them on that tour)-would have been awesome to see it again.
How about Temper trap-weren't you seeing them this week too??

you could go tonight or Friday,there's lots of tickets on E-Bay and there were lots of touts outside the tube and all the way to the academy.

No,not Temper Trap, Fiery Furnaces tonight but I'm cancelling that cos' a friend of mine from Australia is playing too elsewhere
