mate, i have got a huge chunk of cash which i cant get at!
me sister bought me out of my stake of the family house ages ago, after it being in my bank i lent to an elderly family member so that they could buy a house quickly ( it was so they could go into more appropriate accomadation). this was a nice thing to do, but we are still waiting for the other house to be sold so my money is tied up in that, and i have mentally spent it a million times over. when it actually comes i am gonna be well excited.

back in january i came into $5,000 due to some sort of old stock splitting or something that i don't understand via my grandfathers old work inheritances.
i plugged it all onto my car, and now i have paid the thing off after only 2 years of having the thing. there is something nice about not having a car payment anymore and still having a vehicle to ride in with less than 20k miles on it!

too much time - we have an ever growing list of stuff we would like to get when we both know we should stick it all on paying the house off
I cashed in all investments shortly after my mum died because I was sick of having things all over the place. I quit my job and went travelling - all in all I had 6 months off before I needed to get a job again.
Just under a year ago that. We are trying to sell my parents house so that'll be the next time I get some. That'll be between £20-£25k - I will feel like a millionaire then. Thats at least 3 years off :-))

Funny, I just found out a few days ago that some land my grandparents owned has been sold and according to the terms of their wills I'm apparently to receive 1/9 of the price after lawyer's fees and such. (Nine grandkids, hence the 1/9.) So it looks like that will be about $4000 USD. I'm going to sign the check over to my dad, as he's managing the care for my nephew who is disabled. It's money we didn't plan on or expect and we don't really need it so it's better it should go towards something useful.

this is one of the reasons i think so highly of you. that's incredibly selfless of you to do. kudos.

I'm a rich mofo, and with my $8000 a year pay rise coming shortly I've got even more money to do nothing with! A girlfriend will probably put an end to all that though.

well i had a good think before lending the cash to the grandparents.
Only because the whole issue of getting it was very hard on me and my sister and was long and drawn out compliacted process. it was mostly amicable but there were times when we could have fallen out forever.
So when the money came it was a massive relief and to give it away again after two days felt realy weird and i did worry if i had done the right thing. it's like its tied in with me dads death and once i have spent it and put it to good use like he wanted then i can chill.
But the grandparents are much more settled and in a lot better accomodation nearer to the rest of the family and i dont regret it at all but i just want them to sell the house now!
Whenever it comes it will be a good time so just have to wait. all good things and that.

Well of course, rich is relative anyway. But I have a large disposable income as it is, and this pay rise is even more money just to do fuck all with.

Haha, did that really happen with Jammy? I'm actually doing ok on the monetary front right now, but I'm working three jobs. I've spent a fair chunk of my first payday for the two new jobs on clothes and such, but I haven't actually gone shopping in forever so I really needed clothes is how I justify that. I recently started taking riding lessons which I probably shouldn't be doing but I really like it and need a hobby so meh...
Sometimes I wish I could give my dad money, cause really he could use some extra cash more than I could, but he will have none of it. I think it would hurt his pride too much to accept it. When he tries to give me money I usually make one half hearted attempt at telling him I don't need it and then just take it cause I know there's no winning the argument.

Well, thanks, but don't get my halo polished up just yet, ha ha. I don't really see it as selfless, just sensible. I already got $10,000 from the same grandparents years ago, before they had both passed away, as part of a living will; I used that to pay down student loans and such. Now this money, I'd known in the back of my mind might come someday, but not now - the land is undeveloped land in Florida that they bought many decades ago, and Florida real estate if I'm not mistaken has been one of the worst markets his in this economy, no? So I figured who the hell is going to buy it now. But apparently someone did, so, great. My dad can really use the money as my nephew's specialist schooling is very expensive, so it's really a no-brainer.

my ass always hurts inside my butt cheeks. its all red and humid, but really dry and raw at the same time. all i can do is coat it in gold bond like a powdered donut and walk around like a crab, or wedge my boxers all the way up my ass crack around my ballsack to form a protective netting.
