to play 2 shows at the HMH. I am bizarrely excited. OMGOMGOMG, there's actually a British comedian, that I LOVE, coming to my country.
I wonder how it's gonna turn out, seeing there might be a bit of a language barrier, but I'm gonna enjoy it anyway.
Any opinions on the Izzard? Like him, hate him, seen Stripped?

Come over to Amsterdam then!
I've watched Dress To Kill and Glorious and Definite Article so many times. I always put one of those shows on when I got home from a night out and was tired, but not able to sleep because of the alcohol. :o
I wasn't such a big fan of Circle and Sexie though, but tbh, I didn't watch them properly. The audience at those shows were lame and didn't laugh and it sort of made it akwkward for me to watch. Maybe I should give 'em another go...
Stripped has gotten great reviews though, aaand Eddie ditched the dresses and heels! He's back into Boy mode.

saw him a looooooooong time ago - reading festival 93, there was a buzz starting about him then. radiohead cancelled their gig and everyone went to see him, really really funny. seen a coupla live dvds and they are good, but not sure if all his hollywood stuff means he hasnt written any new shit. i imagine he could freestyle quite a lot but i think some of it is meticulously rehearsed but he's that good that he appears to be winging it.
top man.(y)
hope he does a good show for yer

met him a couple of weeks ago very briefly, we were THIS CLOSE (http://twitpic.com/c921y). got some things signed and bought an ice cream from his ice cream van. yup.
I haven't heard his stuff for years but I really used to like him back in the 90s.
But don't you get many British comedians in Holland? I thought you would, we can almost spit on you from here.

There are things like International Comedy nights, but they're all relatively unknown comedians(Adam bastard Bloom turns up at almost every single one of those nights, or so it seems). Really famous comedians (or just any that have a DVD out) never seem to go abroad.
Though apparently Eddie has been here 10 years ago, but I didn't know him back then. Ofcourse he speaks many languages (or at least more than 1, which is more than most English people) and he toured in France back then, so of all the comedians it's most logical that he would tour through Europe.
I really wonder how he's gonna do in other countries. Ofcourse the Dutch are known for all understanding English, but in Germany or France...that's gonna be a tricky one. Or maybe he'll do it in their own language then, I dunno.

I went to Sexie and it was very good. I love love love Dressed to kill, I think that's my favourite. I have a ticket for the show at the O2 in December which I am very much looking forward to it
Yeah, dutch seems to have a better grasp of english that rest of europe and obviously germans have no sense of humor. French despise the english so even though they can speak english they wouldn't speak it just because we struggle with french more.

Yeah I've seen clips of that. I found it funny that even when talking French he kept saying 'so...yeah.' At the end of every 'punchline'. :D

I've seen him a few times but not within the past year. Last time I didn't enjoy it as much but that was mostly because I was in the front row. I got a crick in my neck and I felt like I had to laugh because he could see me. I hate sitting down front for comedy.
The first couple times I saw him, he was so funny I had trouble breathing.
did you hear about that thing he's doing where he's running 30 miles a day six (or seven, i forget) days a week for something like a month? that seems crazy, i wouldn't think most human beings would be able to do that.

BTW, does anyone know what time Metallica goes on? It should be illegal to have two opening acts.

Or the dyslectic.
I just checked the tourschedule thing, and his 'tour of Europe' consists of the UK, The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
So just all the countries that understand English, basically.
