I don't mean sitting there thinking about random shit, I mean actual dreams while you are still awake. Does anyone get these?

Normally before I sleep and I am thinking about things, sometimes they turn into dreams, things that I don't voluntarily chose to think about. If I become too aware or think too hard, they stop but if I just relax they'll continue. It's kind of weird because I am definitely awake, and they only last a few seconds yet feel much longer. And I'll forget mostly what I was dreaming about or how it went from voluntary thought into dream mode, but they are quite enjoyable.

Anyone else get these semi-sleep dreams?

It happens to me, usually when I'm really tired. Personally I like it. They usually make absolutely no sense at all. If I move any at all while it's happening I snap out of it, so I usually try to just lay there and enjoy it and eventually actually fall asleep. The worst part of it for me is that sometimes I'll start to imagine that I'm doing things that I'm not really doing, like if my alarm wakes me up and I continue to lay there I might dream that I'm resetting my alarm for a later time when really I'm just laying there, and I have to convince myself to move an actually set the alarm before I fall asleep. Except sometimes it seems like I really really set it, but then when I wake myself up 100% I'm laying in bed a different way than how I thought I was and my alarm isn't set.

I absolutely experience this. It's good because I know I'm about to fall off to sleep, which I sometime find difficult. For me, I'm usually thinking about something normal and then it starts changing into totally random shit that doesn't make sense or is completly fantastic. If I start to think about it too much I become wide awake. I've kinda learnt to run with it and this helps me sleep.(y)

See, I didn't think I was the only one to experience this. It's almost like watching a movie or something, because you're just spectating and not actually controlling what happens.

Do you have recurring ones that you choose to go to from time to time?

I like to keep things varied.
