Here's my 2 week old tramp stubble.

Forgive the black and white, but my stubble is bright fucking ginger/blonde unlike my hair and so it doesn't really show up in colour.

a good beard is essential for a lawyer bob, it makes you look distinguished. keep it up bob.
i dunno, i feel like i haven't seen very many bearded lawyers. it seems like a very clean shaven kind of career

For the time being at least, I am unable to sport anything more than about a week's of stubble growth. I do think it suits me quite well, but until I get out the Army of have a long period of leave, I'll never be able to have anything impressive. Not to mention it itches like hell at 4-5 days.

I don't care how badass it looks, the purpose of keeping a smooth face is because having facial hair prevents a gas mask from being fully sealed on your face.
You can grow one if you're in the green berets though. They ARE badass.

I had almost a weeks growth, but it just got too itchy. How do you deal with this? My sideys are pretty good though. Also, I've found girls don't really like facial hair as it's rather rough on their skin so I always get told to shave regularly. If it's not the Army telling me to shave, it's girls!

i've found two contradicting worlds of woman, the woman of bbmb, and the woman of the real world.
i had two woman that really loved the beard in real life with most of them hating it, as opposed to a lot of woman on this board who seem to love beards.
i grow the beard more for the guys in my life, they seem to love it. plenty homo.
I found american women are more into beards than UK women. And there is more beards in america I think. But then there is more of everything - I mean ratio wise tho...
Anyway, my experience is also that most women prefer the smooth look but when you find a woman who doesn't, then they are touching your face and almost forcing your head between their legs. So its weighing it up against a larger pool to a more excitable pool because you are a little different.
I generally rock the stubble now which I think lets me walk the line, I dislike shaving so I do it about once a week or fortnight and the itchiness doesn't really present a problem for me. I tend to find its more itchy after a shave and that is probably cus I am used to being inbetween.
Dorothy Wood
12-30-2009, 02:32 PM
stubble is usually rough and uncomfortable, but once it gets closer to being classified as a beard, it's soft and nice (unless you have particularly sharp facial hair)
a full on beard is the easiest to deal with, but can be kinda not so fun for kissing because you can't feel the dude's skin. also, it collects moisture. which can be kind of gross.
Ty Webb
12-31-2009, 12:59 AM
