Anyone watching the baseball playoffs has seen the ad where david spade refilmed the "fat guy in a little coat" scene, to plug direct TV or some shit.

This bugs me because Farely is dead and they are really disgracing his legacy... they are using him to sell direct TV. Its one thing if he was still alive and agreed to this shit, but he isn't. How can david spade participate in this? WTF he was your boy.

It just bugs me for some reason.

I don't see the big deal and I'm sure Spade wouldn't have done it without consent from whoever takes care of Farley's affiars. People should be more upset as to how bad SNL is now than this Farley ad.

I don't agree with it. Would be much worse if they put words in Farley's mouth.

Its an AD, which would last like a month or so. Chris Farely is a legend and now compare that to this commercial. Its fucking nothing.

The way I view its more of target to the movie scene than Chris Farely.

I agree. I think a lot of times commercials can make a movie stale...but in my opinion Tommy Boy is legandary and seeing the AD made me just want to go pop in the DVD. (y)
