I haven't gotten it yet, but I really want to. I was planning on waiting until Black Friday to see if someone would have a deal on it but I don't know if I can make it. Anyway there is a mode where you can play just the mixes without actually having to play the game, so I plan on ripping them when I get it, if no one else beats me to it.

Do you know how to extract the tracks? I have tried before with PS2 games and a tutorial but have had no success locating the audio files. If I knew for certain that I would be able the access the tracks, I would buy it.

Ripping them at the moment. :) The only thing that sucks is that you have to unlock the tracks and so far the only B-Boys track I've only unlocked the Blondie/Intergalactic mix.

BFL, I have no experience extracting audio files, I'm just ripping them while they play. The only thing that sucks about it is you hear the crowd cheering at the beginning and end, but oh well. I've heard of people doing that but I've never tried.

All of this Beastie love is great and all, but I'm torn between this, because of the Beasties being on it, and Scratch Ultimate DJ (http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/03/-scratch-the-ultimate-dj.ars) which MMM is backing, with the turntable made (or at least designed by) Numark.

I think I'll wait for "Scratch" but fear that a smaller company going up against the likes of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band company will be crushed, and I'll be left with a $150 fake turntable, and no support, new tracks, add ons, etc....

The pads look good but it seems too much like 'guitar hero with the controller in front of you' rather more than anything else.

I'd like to see more of how the scratching works itself into things first.

I've had it since Tuesday, having a lot of fun. It was a big hit at our little Halloween party last night. I've unlocked and played 2 of the Beastie Mixes, have not unlocked the new new song to play yet. Z Trip's mixes are very cool, Rock the Bells vs Bittersweet Symphony is a lot of fun, I always air scratch when listening to LL so I guess scratching on the PS3 instrument is closer than that. Rewind is very cool especially after you get more used to the game because you can time it to rewind when you are ready and replay the sections you want; more control I guess. Samples are cool, especially the old school set...it's fun just tapping FRESH over and over. Best part is the music, can't wait to DL soundtrack once someone puts it up. For me this is better than guitar hero cause I like the music more, and scratching and samples and all that. I play medium, of the five difficultlies it's right in the middle and not too hard but still challenging enough to make me think I'm actually mixing myself. Oh yeah crossfading very cool, prob the hardest part for me to get used to cause it's sensitive.

And don't calibrate unless your having problems, I did and I did not need to and I almost returned it cause it was NO fun, once I set back to default I really started to smile!

Best song so far playing, most fun --- Z-Trips Jukebox Hero vs. Murs and Jazzy Jeff's Rock the Bells vs. Bittersweet Symph

Worst Songs --- All the mixes with the autoplay guitar stream and anything with Eminem.
