I don't know why this movie makes me uncomfortable

Even though the animation is excellent, it still feels like this movie is part live action / part cartoon ( I can't stomach movies like Beowolf, Polar Express, Christmas Carol ). If they want to make this technology look as if it could be created in the not too far future they should have used models. Maybe the realism doesn't translate well in the trailers.

The action looks like a cut scene from a videogame but I have a feeling this is the population they are reaching for (gamers). I expect more from Cameron and Weta Workshop

cameron got shit on during the run-ups to aliens, the abyss, terminator 2 and titantic, and look at their results.

i don't like all of his films but his track record is pretty damn impressive, especially considering the terminator films and aliens, which i think is his finest work.

i'm not crazy about the na'vi looking like blue cats either but everything else looks really impressive and cameron deserves the benefit of the doubt.
