Hey MSF: Because he was diagnosed w/ Cancer. He went through treatments and had some gypsies in Asia do some sort of prayer chant for him a few weeks ago after letting the pros do their jorb and he was happy about that.

Hopefully he'll put a bat to that bitch called cancer.

well i dont know msf so i dont how much she likes the beasties or if she just liked the poeple on the board but i'd like to think she asked on here instead of google to talk to some people who might give a more detailed and informative account (or the best link )than a search engine (which could have led her here anyway) and decided to ask on bf in case it got all inflammatory on BG.

Yeah, the most surefire way to get an informative and thorough account is by starting a thread in beastie free.

Even the people who are trying to be nice have been completely useless. :p

(EDIT: Seriously. Type in Adam Yauch on google. When I do it, I get a link to the Huffington Post's stories which include the youtube video. They also did a story on his updated statement re his tx.)

LOL .. it took ten posts in this thread before i actually answered the question. maybe msf couldnt be arsed clciking somewhere else and fancied a chat about it. but nice one for giving an informative answer.

Well, Guy Incognito, I love the Beastie Boys. In 2000, I used to have a site about them, but it wasn't good at all, so I gave up, but I became a fan in 1997 (recently, if compared to when they have started).

To all the haters, I read all the beasties discussion and couldn't find anything definitive about it. I mean, all I could find was that he needed surgery.

Maybe I'm not the fan I'm supposed to be and I should have looked for it on google since I use this internet tool everyday. Forgive me about that. I guess I just wanted to bond with the board people again, since I used to be a very active member a long time ago. Well, well, that was dramatic. Hihi.

But anyway, those were the saddest news.:(

How hard is it to just write Adam has cancer in this thread? If it were a post that have amount of words like an essay sure I would point that person to google but for a fucking sentence? Lazy sons of bitches.
