FUUUUCKKK! that Cities of Gold thing just totally blew my mind. I haven't thought about that cartoon since it was on, but I completely remember that opening.
also, that preview is smart shit, can't really say the same for the single tho :/
I never really got much into the Strokes, but I've listened to them more recently than I ever have. not so bad, better than a lot of the indie pop crap they play on the radio these days.

I prefer Albert Hammond Jr's solo stuff the most, maybe because it's the least unStrokes-like, yet not dependent on the Strokes sound really. But I'm enjoying this album more than the Nickel Eye one. These guys should all really just get back to work on their band material though.

I adored that cartoon as a kid. Except we didn't have cable, just two canadian channels and one french canadian. So we had to watch all the episodes in french, ooh la la.
Albert is far more enjoyable.

only just downloaded...on first listen of first track so far. so far so good, i mean i completely love the strokes, so was really excited and nervous to hear this. but it's j.c singing and that to me is (almost) good enough, his voice is beautiful!!
