My mom is because we live a distance away and it's a good way to keep in touch.
However, she types as if she has just found the innarw3bs and uses le3t speak such as z's on the end of words instead of s's and ur instead of you're and stuff.
She only uses facebook to have fun and she doesn't really care about it and all but when I'm reading it, it kinda gets under my skin.
I sent her a message telling her it's for the youngins and stuff and I'm not even being a dick about it but she got hurt over it.
I tried calling her and she didn't answer but instead she sent me a text saying she needs a couple days to cool off because she felt that she embarrassed me.
Wow, I'm having high school drama with my moms over the internet!!

No way, I'd hate that. They are complete computer retards anyway, but it's bad enough having army friends and normal friends on there, let alone if my parents read that stuff.

Yes, my mom is on Facebook...and lots of aunts and uncles as well. It's really bad when my mom calls me and says she knows what's happening in my life only because of my Facebook status updates. She hasn't embarrassed me yet, but I don't think she knows how to use most of the features.

It was my idea for my mom to sign up, actually. No reason... I just thought it was funny/stupid to have her on there.
She actually really enjoys it though. She's made contact with a lot of her high-school classmates, previous colleagues, and stuff like that.
Plus a lot of my friends think it's kind of funny that she's their friend on there too. I dunno... it hasn't really changed my behavior on the site at all, I think parents know we aren't all the angels they want to believe we are.
Go, mom!

True. She's friends with all of my friends too because she knows them all and hell, most of them have flopped at our house when I lived with her as a teen.
We also keep in touch with our other relatives with it.
I'm not sure what my friends think of her there, they know her as the "cool" mom anyway and half of them have a crush on her, god darnit.

Everyone in my family is. Dad, mother-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, the lot. Main mode of communication, really; it's how everyone keeps up with each other.
Except for me, now. THANKS A LOT, CHINA:mad:

yes. I love my Mom dearly but she kept saying "Love it!" after EVERYTHING SHE EVER WROTE ON HER STATUS UPDATE. I had to hit the "silence" button on her because it irritated me.
It really shouldn't, but you know. Moms. I'm sure I do shit that irritates her too.

Oh, and related, I have a really ghetto ass cousin on facebook too. When she saw she wasn't invited to my birthday party (I forget she's on it sometimes) she wrote on my wall complaining about not being invited.
Girl has 3 kids, one with down syndrome, hangs out with cholos (mexican gangsters for those not in the know), and is the type to say "You just looked at me wrong I'm going to kick your ass".
:| and she wonders why she is not invited.

Am not quite sure why having a kid with Down's would be a reason you wouldn't hang out with her? I'm not sure if you mean this how it reads, but damn it makes you sound pretty cold, yo.

i read it as "you spend your time hanging with cholos and starting fights rather than being with your 3 kids, one of whom has down syndrome, therefore i dislike you"

Maybe. To me it seemed like a list, like, "here are the reasons I don't want to be around her: 1) she's got kids, one with Down's; 2) she hangs out with gangsters; and 3) she's apt to start fights. "
I'm hoping she meant it your way.

what Bob said.
The girl already goes out a lot clubbing all the time then the type of people she hangs around... despite having 3 kids, 1 being a special needs child. I was expressing my concern with her priorities.

I'm also a little concerned that anyone would think I'd dislike someone for HAVING a disabled child.
I'm not heartless. I guess I give off that vibe?

It's okay, I knew what you meant. The important thing is, is your cousin hot?

Phew, haha. I got a little worried.
And to further clarify, she lives well over an hour away and the party starts at 9. It's going to be dancing all night. She already goes out a ton. Who watches her kids? It's just disturbing. All she's concerned with is men and "haters" who apparently are everywhere for her (i.e. paranoid that people are going to look at her wrong and she'll beat them up for it), not her children. We barely talk. And mixing her thug attitude with my own friends... I'd be babysitting her all night. Not the way I want to spend a birthday celebration.
Also, Helvete, she'd be GORGEOUS if she wasn't so thugged out.
