View Full Version : Do you like it when other people find your significant other attractive?

I thought I didn't, but maybe I do. On saturday, my boyfriend's band played a small show and I saw a couple of girls just kind of gazing at him like he was some kind of dream boat. and I was like, "bitches, you better step the f off!" but then I thought, "would I rather be dating someone that nobody else was attracted to?"

awww, poor DW. Not sure why the hate but...
...I think it'd be more of a problem if you didn't trust your significant other. I don't mind at all - almost encourage it, maybe its different for a guy but if you can proudly say 'I'm hitting that' then you can feel like the bigger male for a moment.

hmm, I guess I didn't think about that. obviously men want to date women that everyone else finds hot. I forgot.

anyway, the original post is truncated because I keep having to walk away from the computer and closing the window so nobody will see.
it doesn't really matter, I was just going to talk about changing my attitude from possessive to appreciative.
I think and talk too much about this stuff. my apologies.

I only like it when I hear it from my family, expressing how beautiful they think she is,physically, personally and spiritually...I feel 50 fuck'n feet tall when that happens...(y)

I don't mind if its in a casual way. Like "Brad Pitt is a good looking guy." If its "the guy who sings in the band we are going to see is so hot, we are going to have fun" I will raise my eyebrow. If they need to be as close as possible to get a view of the person they like, then I would question what I'm doing with someone so immature.
I've been in relationship where the person got mad at me for expressing that I liked a singers voice and she happened to be on a plane we were on. I will not be in a relationship like that ever again.

The reason I was mad about you commenting on the singer was because of how you phrased it. "She has a great chest. A fantastic set of lungs." is what you said.

I'll be honest: I like it best when they are people I do not consider competition.
I'm insecure sometimes and when someone really beautiful expressed attraction, I would get a little sad. Thinking that if they ever let him know I'd be toast.
But then I realize that overall I'm a pretty kick ass girlfriend so he probably is fine with the hotness scale not being super high since the kick assness scale is super high. And I have nice boobs too so that helps.
So after that thought process I like that people think my man is a nice piece of ass. (y)

I thought it was because I commented on her diaphram and how amazing it was.

Why do you say shit like this? Do you really believe this or do you want people to affirm your actual opinion?
PS Yes I like it when other people find my man attractive, as long as their attractions don't result in flirtation.

people have told me to my face that they think my girl is hot. my ex was a fucking troll so it's nice to have ppl diggin on my girl. she's very faithful though, so I have no reason to get assy, and it feels pretty good to have someone ppl find attractive.
lol @ dana's "kickassness scale"
DOESN'T BOTHER ME ONE WAY OR THE OTHER

Yes. It puts me in the mood because it makes me look over at him and say "You've got a good point there, he IS hot! I wonder if I could get with...oh yeah, I totally could..."

ummm FU.... you are just about one of the most beautiful girls i've ever seen, so that comment just deserves a thorough fuck you, cause if you're insecure about your bf not finding you insanely attractive.... i dont wanna finish that sentence.
i once posted a similar question, like 3+ yrs ago, when i wrote about how charming my exbf was and how girls just loved listening to him talk and stuff, and the little bits of jealousy i would get when a gorgeous girl would hang on to his every word. then he cheated on me and broke my heart. so i guess i learned my lesson never to date someone so damn charming and good looking. i can't compete.

monkey and nodana, you guys are ridiculous. you're both extremely lovely ladies.
my dude and I are pretty evenly matched, lookswise I think. and he's far from charming. I suppose his lack of charm might actually be a form of charm though. he used to get hit on more when he DJ'd, but then he'd start dropping puns and talking about anagrams and the scenestery girls would be like, "see ya!"
ha. oh, how I adore my nerdy cutes. :o
