i only knew this player by name but this story is really sad. at the top of his game, probably gonna be at the world cup, got thru some personal problems but just couldnt cope.

its a total shock though, to appear to be at the peak of your powers and achieving a lot of goals/ambitions yet still be very unhappy. I have had bouts of depression because i thought i hadnt achieved anything and it just goes to show that you can appear to have it all but be so unhappy. it sounds like his wife was a very strong lady who he confided in but he still struggled. its just a shame.

depression is one of the worst illnesses and there is not even a real cure for it, too bad most dont take it very seriously
