he announced it on-air tonight in somewhat of a surprise move. he talked about the winds of change and what not... tonight was his last show

he was their most conservative and longest tenured reporter/anchor. I always liked the balance that he brought to the network.

he was told to stop reporting on Obama's birth certificate, could he be headed towards FOX?

i think they should replace him with a conservative, if for no other reason than what you said... to keep balance.

After the birther ordeal (which of course it takes a comedian to point out the lunacy) I have 0 respect for Lou Dobbs. The mainstream media owes the American people something more than opinionated lapdog journalism.

I also have no respect for the looney. And I have no respect for CNN.

My fear is that CNN will bend over even further to appear neutral. I'm not sure that it's possible but they will try. If CNN wants to actually BE neutral, they have to call all sides on lies and nonsense and that means pointing out that sometimes there are NOT two sides to a story. It will never happen so I will not watch.

Haven't been watching them either. I agree 100%. Every time I've inadvertently seen CNN this past year it's been celebrity deathwatch. A month of Michael Jackson? Is the average viewer reliving being a 10 year old?
