the youtube trailer does not do it justice. I've seen it played on the big screen a few times and its pretty awesome. Very fluid and classy look.

yeah, I have a nice HD quicktime copy of the main trailer - it's been awhile since something new has come. I've been checking out some fan spots and little bits and pieces are coming through.

that game sorta sucks though

Disney had the Tron rough cut pass through Pixar and their crew to make fixes. Good idea.

There are few movies that I would go to see the midnight showing of when it comes out. This is one of them.

Seriously this movie had better be as fluid and crisp as the trailer, otherwise, I will be a very sad heartbroken bastard.

I heard they are showing more footage at Comic Con - is this true?

I don't see why they wouldn't. Its been awhile since a new trailer has come out and they wrapped up the reshoots in June.

There is a ton of tron stuff here. I really hope they don't overmerchandise the crap out of it though. From the looks of their displays its not looking good.

Regardless, the movie has enough ties to the original to still make me happy. So for now I will look the opposite way of the wall of merchandise..

I am a Tron fan, sitting on the front row as a 2nd grader wathcing this shit was sweet. A great Disney follow up after the Black Hole.

Huh A Princess Bride sequel?

Ok, in all honesty a weak follow up to the first trailer. Music, content, mood. This might be cheesier than first thought. Clu.2 head transformation isn't much improved from Aragon's helmet transformation.

For a movie based in the digital world you'd think the sets would be completely digital (especially since Star Wars proved it was possible - maybe Disney is trying to hold onto nostalgia and a little bit o' camp)

I will admit that I and many fans are starting to suspect that Rinzler ( seen in the trailer with the light cycle and disc fighting with Sam ) is Tron (http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRYyFfRZwp-ycDJl2pTbGuIi4fO1LBH3g2AevQEyIxID1BXl84&t=1&usg=__esFfWRm22CJMQ_uoyFpvQgnCpgc=)

match the chest lights

I'm sure this will be enjoyable, but I wonder if it truly is maturing with the times ( mostly in regards to digital technology )

ps.s

Clu.2's jet is sick

Daft Punk fans are disappointed over the sound track. Why expect Daft Punk to make music tapping your foot to when they were just asked to make the score of the film.

Well Daft Punk aren't composers per say - in fact most of their hits are mostly samples.

I had the chance of hearing some of the songs and they aren't bad, there is a theme flowing through all of them so the diversity isn't Williams or Zimmer level

definitely not as catchy as DP's dance songs but nice for a change

What surprised me though that they actually do some hints of '80s style synthesizers for some tracks, almost as if they don't want you to remember that it's been over 20 years since a Tron movie has been made.

3rd link reminds me of 16/32-bit era music.

To think about it, what I wasn't expecting that the music would be so "nostalgic".

The main tracks are very Zimmer inspired...though it's funny that some of the real world scenes remind me of Batman Begins.

Also, io9 interview (http://io9.com/5595046/inside-tron-legacy-with-the-stars-and-director) with the stars and director.

Just saw a few minutes from the movie. Its just so amazing to look at.

Who ever made the call on the soundeffects for the reconizers should be given a high five. All gnarly flame/jet sounds.

Also in the game arena, you can hear some old school 80 sounds which are pretty fun.

Don't see it in a regular theatre unless you know they have the guts and nuts to turn up the sound. See it at an IMAX where they will do the sound justice.
