On a whim, a friend and I decided to take a quick trip to Ireland on December 5. Will be my third go around. Staying 3 nights in Galway and 3 nights in Dublin. Searching for a decent B & B in the Temple Bar area. Any ideas? Also, what shall we do when we're there? I've done most of the touristy things the first 2 trips there....suggestions please!

I've been to Galway. Lovely place. Afraid I can't recommend where to stay or anything because a) it was an all-expenses paid trip so I didn't organise anything b) I drank so much Guiness I can't remember much of it.

There is however an all-night-garage somewhere between the town and the hotel I stayed in that does sandwiches at 4am, and you can request jalapenos in it.

Thanks for the tip...like I said, this is my third go around in Ireland. Got a bed and breakfast booked in Galway already...need to book something in Dublin. I had stayed near Croke Park the last time, but was looking for something a bit closer to Temple Bar this time.

Since my friend and I have both already been to Ireland several times, our plan is pretty much to stay in the pubs and drink Guinness.
