dork moment

i've been working very hard lately, and for the most part, i've been very frugal because i've been trying to be take more financial responsibilities and whatnot. but i just wanted to give myself a present, buy myself something as a small reward. so i got myself a cell phone. and i didn't think anything of it until i mentioned it to some of my girlfriends and they looked at me all funny.

one said "if i wanted to spoil myself, i'd buy myself a vacation."
the other said "shoes!"
another said "don't you need things like winter clothes, a coat or something?"

all three called me a dork.

but my reply was that nothing would bring me more daily joy than a cool phone. it's mine for the next year or two.... so why not? it was weird, i think they "judged" me for being so dorky. i think they wouldn't have made those comments if i had been a dude though. hmmmmmm.

yeah, sometimes you just need a cool phone. I like my phone better than my coats, and it's not even that fancy. It takes great pictures. they're not even the best quality, but the color is really true in daylight and looks kinda 70's in low light.

good for you, I like the design of that phone and I've always enjoyed motorolas, they feel like they're built to last.

But when splurging, gadgets is where it's at. And video games, for me, personally. Ain't nothing wrong with loving technology (y)

I got a new phone to on Wednesday. Its an Android to but HTC Hero. I'm loving it to bits and I've even posted on this site with it. I did almost nothing today at work because I was playing with it so much :)

I like my phone. The only bad thing about bying it was that 3 days later I got an ad in the mail saying that it was like $$$$$ cheaper! Damnit!¨%¨$¨%$%!!! Anyway I'm tired of my Samsung. I will never trade a Nokia again!
