View Full Version : I know I'm not the only one who's had trouble deciding which 80s tv sitcom family...

...I would have liked to have been adopted or, more appropriately, fostered by. After careful deliberation, I managed to narrow it down to:
The Huxtables
or
The Seavers on Growing Pains (Maggie "Rawrrr" Malone....very tempting)
After further careful deliberation, I finally settled on living with Cosby & Co. circa the Lisa Bonet years.
I would have entertained the notion of shacking up with Samantha Micelli in the Who's The Boss? household, but that family was plagued by divorce, death and that gross cougar grandmother, which was just too similar to my real life.

uurrr I dunno. The Huxtable parents seems to goofy and highly strict on just about everything. But Lisa Bonet would be the only reason I'd live with the Huxtables.
Edit: I'd live with The Simpsons.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
I want to say Alf because living with an alien life form would be pretty bad ass. But everyone else on that show was pretty annoying for the 24 minutes a week so I can't imagine a majority of my life with them even if there was an alien to hang out with.
But I think I would want to be a Stratton. Big house, train in the living room, awesome guest house for me to move into when I was older, toys toys toys. Plus it would be nice to have Wilma Dearing as step mom that would hopefully someday touch my bathing suit area as I was growing up.
The downside would probably be all those lessons I'd have to teach my dad, the overgrown child, as I learned a lesson myself on a weekly basis.

I would like to be raised by the sleestaks, of course. Especially by the 'smart' one with the head and the one with the dress. Hihihihi!:D
Marshall, Will and Holly on a routine expedition...

Alf himself would kind of get annoying too I'm sure. Good call on the Silver Spoons house (sans occupants), though.
I thought about the Bel Air house, but yeah....80s.

I was gonna say Silver Spoons. No real parenting, lots and lots of toys and money. Pretty much the opposite of my childhood, would be a different experience.
Anyway, or the Keatons. Could be interesting to have former hippie parents and despite his politics Alex P was a helluva cutie.
