What were you first attracted to when you met your significant other; Not necessarily the first thing you noticed, but the first thing you remember admiring, being endeared by, being attracted to? Maybe you weren't even attracted to them at first but then you noticed something special. Maybe the minute you saw them you saw that something. What was it?

I first noticed his smile. It lit up the room, pushing his eyes into dark half-moons. And his manners. He was so traditionally polite, not like most guys I knew who tried to be too cool or suave.

He said he admired my butt first. I was bending over, I think. I don't know. Then I stood up and turned around and he liked my smile. (He told me this after we'd been together for a while)

Smiles? How boring! :)

unless we're talking about a couple that met in a trapped elevator or a plane crash. then, they'd probably mostly be attracted to the heat

So then what made you LIKE her for who she was? I guess I still don't know what made him like who I was. He probably asks himself that everyday. "What did I see in her?!"

His sense of humor was a big one.

Also, his height. I'd never dated a guy who was taller than me before him.

She watched a lot of TV, was one of the most arrogant girls I'd ever met, and she was hot.

her bum and the fact she laughed at me jokes which is fucking unusual so i had to persue the matter further.

Physically - his entire face. I am all about how the entire face looks. If it's nice, and I like it, then it's on usually.

He said he noticed me, like there was a spotlight just on me the moment he walked in to the place. It's all he saw.

Then once we got naked, when I saw that "V" of his pelvis, (*#_$@&#_%*(^#$_%*(34DFUSPIYERPWEUIRQWQE. <-- That's what my brain did.

Past the physical stuff, I become smitten with his affinity for hip hop and the fact that he made some silly rap songs for fun. :o

When I met him 2.5 years ago, he was quiet and nerdy; and I thought, "man, if I weren't dating someone, I'd go for that kid."

an actual crush formed when I saw him perform with his old band. he was wearing pajama pants and a christmas sweatshirt, and was cracking jokes. it was the most I'd ever heard him talk, and his little butt just looked so cute.

he says he first started thinking about me "romantically" when we spent a day together and he thought I seemed completely myself. not sure exactly what that means, but he does and he liked it, so woo hoo! also, he liked my legs and my voice.

His general stature. Tall, skinny, bearded. (y)

I realized I wanted to be serious with him on our second date when he said "Don Henley is to music what Keanu Reeves is to acting." Hello, perfect match. :o

Probably his blue eyes. They're dreamy. His whole face is awesome - perfect nose, amazing smile, everything. That and the sense of humor. He made me laugh so hard right away. Oh, and the dance skills. My gawd, can my boy dance.

I guess overall...the thing I liked (and still do like) best about him was his confidence and all-around "fuck it" attitude. No sense of shame or shyness. Not that he's cocky or anything, just not afraid to make a fool of himself. He takes risks when necessary and will do what is needed to make things work. He's ballsy. I like that.

i have had this theory that ray mears is such a contradiction. so he goes away for months living in a forest on gorilla poo and lighting fires out of shoelaces or whatever and then he goes home to his mam and she cooks cleans and he stays at home reading books and watching eastenders. i have no idea why i think this.

I lied to her, I was busted and she backhanded me and gave me a bloody lip. Then she said something like, if you lie to me again its over. I walked out of my room to see all my friends and the looks on thier faces was priceless. FYI I deserved it.

I remember thinking, that was alot better then some big argument or some long drwan out break up. We havent hit each other since and that was 15 years and 2 kids ago.

Seriously! And isn't that hot? He's the guy that starts the party off when it's boring and nobody is dancing. He's the guy that starts the conversation when it's awkward and no one is talking. He knows what to do, and he does it with such grace. He's the best person I've ever met. :o

I was just meeting up with him for the hell of it like I do with any board member who's around my neck of the woods. I remember starting to like him when we were walking around the National Mall. He was quiet and a bit shy, but he loved to laugh. And every so often, out of nowhere, he'd say something that would catch me off guard and make me laugh. I love that. When you're not expecting something out of a shy guy and all of the sudden something perverted and hilarious comes out. It was one of the first times ever that I felt comfortable right away and didn't feel the need for pointless small talk if it wasn't needed. Of course, after he left and my friends asked me what was up with the two of us flirting back and forth, I replied "Meh. He's Canadian. It was fun, but I REALLY doubt anything will come of it."

Annnnd 4 years later, and I'm livin' in Canada (y)

not always, my boyfriend almost had a panic attack when he came over to hang out at a pumpkin-carving get-together at my house. him admitting to me that he was nervous and feeling anti-social was the cutest thing ever, especially since he was actually being quite charming, people were laughing at his jokes and everything. we both agree that we're awkward people, and it's lovely to have someone to feel comfortable with.

a couple of our mutual friends have commented that he seems more natural and normal when I'm around too.

he's also a terrible dancer, and embarrassed about it...but he still dances, and that's pretty cute too.

actually, I've been meaning to say it, but you and my boyfriend are pretty similar personality-wise (as far as I can tell from the internet).

you should come round to his for tea, you guys could have a pun off or something. maybe complain about your hair together.

cosmo, yeah! The bf just knows how to be outgoing and friendly but not in an obnoxious, arrogant way. He just genuinely wants to make people feel comfortable and he's the kind of guy you can't help but like as a person.

yeah, I'm glad he tries. heh. he's not afraid to be a dork, which is great.

earlier today he went to forever 21 for the first time, because he liked an outfit I'd gotten from there, and I told him they had cheap mens clothes too. he texted me, "went crazy at forever 21! OMG" and it made me laugh so hard.

oh man, I can't get enough of that guy! :o
