I had a temporary contract position this past month and a half... which means I should probably update my resume. The thing is... although the title was fitting in with my career path, I wouldn't really describe the work I did as particularly in line with what I want to do. The place kind of pulled a bait-and-switch on me, but the pay was decent enough that I didn't mind. Especially when my only other job is a shitty grocery store thing. Fuck the (Michigan) economy, by the way.
So, anyone creative at coming up with ways to phrase things without being entirely misleading? My title was "market research assistant." But, basically what I did was search websites and other resources for e-mail addresses so this place could SPAM the shit out of people. I had a lot of contact with people in various state departments, schools, and things like that... Also there's gotta be some way to work in my savvy web-hunting skills. I'm lacking in how to phrase it properly though... for a resume that is.
I mean, really, if I thought it'd be acceptable I'd just write "found e-mail addresses to SPAM unsuspecting victims."
