What you doing at the post office? anything fun?
I'm thinking is it such a good idea to be this high at work when I've gotta ride my motorbike home in this freezing weather. Plus I'm doubting that I'm actually go on my run later.
Also, did you know hard cheese is more intensively farmed than meat? This has got me thinking that one of the reasons I'm veggie is kinda wrong and I should be vegan, but I love cheese far too much!!!

On the way into work today, they were playing a bit of an LBJ speech about Vietnam, and he was going on about the 'struggle for freedom' and I went of on a thinking tangent about the civil rights movement and Rosa Parks and lo and behold on wikipedia today in '1955 – African-American Civil Rights Movement: Seamstress Rosa Parks (pictured) was arrested for violating the racial segregation laws of Montgomery, Alabama, after refusing to give up her seat on a public bus to a white man, precipitating the Montgomery Bus Boycott'
Weirderama.

Hell yeah, Rosa!
It's almost funny now because most people tend to stand on the buses anyway....

I mean who in their right mind would ride the bus at this time of year with the Cold and Flu going around...

And also a couple of weeks ago, I was randomly reading about unusual deaths on wikipedia and came across this one
1986: Over 1,700 people were killed almost instantly near Lake Nyos in Cameroon when a mass of approximately 100 million cubic metres of carbon dioxide that had collected at the bottom of the lake due to seepage from geothermal sources was suddenly released on August 21, 1986. The gas cloud immediately settled (carbon dioxide is heavier than air) and covered an area of up to 12 miles (20 km) from the lake, killing all oxygen-breathing life almost instantly - although the nearby vegetation, which consumes carbon dioxide and releases oxygen, flourished afterwards.
2 days later my mum mentioned it as it had been on some TV show.

The Boston Molasses Disaster, also known as the Great Molasses Flood and the Great Boston Molasses Tragedy, occurred on January 15, 1919, in the North End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts in the United States. A large molasses storage tank burst, and a wave of molasses rushed through the streets at an estimated 35 mph (56 km/h), killing 21 and injuring 150. The event has entered local folklore, and residents claim that on hot summer days, the area still smells of molasses. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_molasses_disaster)

The Halifax Explosion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halifax_Explosion) occurred on Thursday, December 6, 1917, when the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, was devastated by the huge detonation of the SS Mont-Blanc, a French cargo ship, fully loaded with wartime explosives, which accidentally collided with the Norwegian SS Imo in "The Narrows" section of the Halifax Harbour. About 2,000 people were killed by debris, fires, or collapsed buildings and it is estimated that over 9,000 people were injured. This is still the world's largest man-made accidental explosion.

The 1986 Los Angeles Dodgers Sunflower Shell Disaster: In the summer of 1986 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, bat boy Jeffery Taylor was carrying week’s worth of sunflower shells collected from the players that spit them out in the dugout during home games. As he approached the dumpster, he allegedly tripped and spilled about 12lbs of the shells into an air conditioner intake which led to multiple offices within the stadium. Though previously being moistened in the players mouths, the shells had since dried and become sharp as they rained out of the vents in offices and hallways. Two people suffered serious eye injuries and twenty people had minor injuries including cuts and scratches. One female employ ceased employment due to the incident.

no way that stuff would ever rush anywhere that fast...
As for the cruelty to cheeses, I mean that the treatment for live stock at primary dairy farms are not much better than the ones whose prime market is meat. And lb for lb for meat vs cheese it seems as though you can get more meat out of the poor treatment of livestock than you can hard cheese out of the poor treatment of livestock.
I mean, I'm not naive enough to assume that because I don't eat meat I am not part of the meat industry especially since I eat so much dairy but I do want to keep the amount of lives lost down to a minimum while I keep mine going as long as possible. It was a podcast I was listening to a little earlier which I thought it was interesting, but didn't hear it all cus I had to go out.

Bald Eagles do not achieve the white plumage, that lends to their namesake, until 7 years of age...therefore they are often mistaken as Golden Eagles by many birding amateurs...a easy way to determine between the 2 sub species is the fact that the Golden Eagle appears to wearing boots, in that his plumage extends right to the top of the talons…while the bald eagles stop much higher up…I attribute this to a point of evolution as Bald eagles often submerge their talons while pursuing aquatic prey…they have been streamlined by time… the preceding has been a message brought to you by Moot’s Mountain Minute…

it is quite smart, makes him look a bit younger. i'm wondering if ex footballers get to that age and start thinking its their last chance to grow a decent bit of beardage or summat, i noticed last week, graeme souness has brought back the classic 80's moustache, whats next chris waddle having one of those beards with long bits at the bottom? perish the thought

Esapana 1937 Dec 4th: Fierce fighting between the Fascist army and Republican troops near Teruel begins...The province capital Teruel, since the beginning of the war occupied by Fascist forces, was still spared the fightings...When the Fascists occupied the city, they made their usual massacre, killing government officials, loyal policemen & soldiers, left wing intellectuals, workers & farmers...Those massacres were mostly celebrated in public,in Teruel it was on the 'Plaza de Torico'...But suddenly Republican soldiers are entering the area!..The Fascists are surprised, but not aware that this is the preparation of one of the biggest Republican offensives in the war...Grandpa kills 4 German "advisors" on the 6th and meets Hemingway on the 9th...
Remember kids, evolution is only theory. The earth could only be 3000 years old.
