haha. I thought about posting this clip earlier. no real groundbreaking insight from dante, moreso a casual history of their discography.

dude's got some serious stories on hip-hop in general nonetheless. peep his story about ll cool j and ol' dirty bastard for a good laugh.

I kind of get the feeling that Ricky and Co can't really stand what the Beasties became.

Really more just Ricky. It's such a conspicuous split; I guess cause Rick still talks shit about females and such. I dunno. I kept thinking about Song for the Man, while that camera was zooming in on that lady's ass. I was thinking about Song for the Man, while looking her up and down. Dumb irony.

I was real happy to hear those intros Horovitz would do to 'Ricky's Theme' during the epic Gala Event tour (which should be made into a DVD cause it's on a pretty fan-tacular level of service what with PJs and Maestro and Tranistions and Futtermans but that's for another time), and since the band seems to operate on the basis of consensus, it means even those who have strayed furthest from the Ricky Powell philosophy are still cool to reminisce. It was nice, is all.
