I've been getting into this lately. The wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post_mortem_photography). Some of them are serene, and quite striking, while at the same time making me want to vomit. In a nice way, though, since they're not gory just intense. Heaps of them here. Funny that all of the living people in these photos with corpses are dead now. Funny as in notable, not hilarious.

The twisted thing about it is the posing. On the wiki page this dude is arranged sitting upright in a chair and he looks dead. Like a piss-poor imitation of life. It's interesting to me that there was a time when this was considered a sufficient memorial of a loved one in polite society.
We're very precious about death, these days.

i prefer to memorialize with a decal on my car's entire rear window

Wow, that are pretty intense.
The ones of the children are making me hyperventilate.
