I don't know if there's a thread for any of this already. If there is, sorry. In brief, for those who aren't already familiar, a French video director/filmmaker named Vincent Moon started recording these sessions with various bands/musicians a few years ago. The performances take place in bathrooms, hallways, apartments, bars etc. Generally, the artists are placed in an environment where they can't really hide behind anything. The performances are very natural and unplanned. The style in which a lot of it's filmed is candid, concentrating on the surroundings as often as the musicians themselves. Personally, I think the shit's brilliant.
