Black and Decker DLX1050B makes a cup taste like plastic (n)

did some rinsing fresh water/vinegar to no avail

I should've known it would taste like a tool box

any suggestions?

did you "make" a few pots of water through it before you tried making coffee? if so then i'm out of ideas

i know when i bought my coffee maker the instructions said to make a few pots of water before trying to make coffee (you know, just putting cold water in the machine and turning it on, no coffee). it kind of kicked up a plastic smell as i recall but the coffee's been fine. did you do that before you tried making coffee, or did you just start using it immediately? if you didn't, that could explain the taste

Sucks ass in a bad way or good way?

Also you might stop filtering your coffee through worn underwear.

too much tea makes you pee more I think.I read the other day that men drinking lots of coffee decreases the chances of prostate cancer.

I always make tea/coffee with a kettle anyway.
