Is anybody going?

My little sis wants to go (who'll turn 18 in June), and thinks that if I attend as her chaperone, my dad will let her.

How the fuck do I persuade him? He thinks "hippies" are going to rape my sister or some shit. I keep telling him hippies are the least of her/our worries. Drugs scare me, so not going there. I can only handle 2 glasses of wine before I start getting the spins (I've come to decide beer is gross and makes me feel weird), so no party-party.

idk. Tickets are expensive, and her big-breasted slut friends are going too who I don't want to be responsible for.

i've gone the past 3 years, but i'm not sure what i'm going to do next year. i'd love to try a different festival if possible, but getting people to go with might be the hard part.


as far as the drugs go, they are pretty visible there, but you can mostly avoid them. nobody will really bother you more than asking you to buy/sell/share.

Bonnaroo is not a rapey kind of festival, but it is certainly a drug free-for-all. I've been twice and had a fucking great time...Having said that, if I was a parent, I probably wouldn't want my 18-year-old going. So, uuuhhhh, not sure what to tell you.

P.S. They haven't even announced the 2010 lineup. Why not wait and see if it's even worth your hassle? You'll probably find a way to be convincing if there are bands playing that you really want to see.
