Sadly I'm in this bummer of a boat as well. Sucks. Families live in separate states, and I can't take any time off to visit his until after the holidays. Really sucks. He'll only be gone a few days, and of course I love spending xmas with my family, but it's definitely put a damper on my holiday cheer. :(

edit: the minute after I wrote this, one of them cancelled because of prior commitments of christmas she couldn't re-arrange. We set a date for 2010 instead - she still seems keen though. I'll see how the rest try to get out of it :o
