I was flipping channels at halftime of the Colts/Jags game last night and landed on this program. I sat in amazement as a grill caught fire because some guys named Mike "The Situation" and DJ Pauly D put charcoal on a gas grill. "The Situation" and Pauly D are 27 and 28 yrs old respectively and I am guessing that they don't know much about anything. I watched another 10 minutes and saw some jawdropping monosyllabic grunting between J-Woww and Snooki. I did notice a guy named Vinny that rarely spoke and seemed very low key. I am guessing that he will not get too much air time since they want to portray idiocracy.
Jersey gets it from all sides.---Joe Piscapo with-I'm from Jersey, you from Jersey?---the Sopranos---Real Housewives of Jersey---Ouch.

I am guessing that this show will be a hit and we will have many more years of fake tanned greasy haired grunting gold chain wearing idiots to watch in the future. I guess it is no different than going to the zoo and making a beeline to the monkey house.

I think this show's great.

I spent every summer of my life down the Jersey shore. Mostly at Wildwood. I spent a few weekends in Seaside over the years tho.
Willdwood is like the NYC of Jersey shore spots, with Seaside Heights being the Newark, NJ.

My entire neighborhood sort of picked up and moved down the shore for the summer. I could walk down the street and see as many people I knew from Philly in Wildwood, as I could in Philly itself in the summer.

One regret I still have in life is that I never moved down there for an entire summer. Only weeks & weekends at a stretch.
Probably some of the most fun times of my life.

Kind of makes me laugh that THIS is what people choose to be offended by in life. All the fucked up things going on in the world...

Let me guess; did your cousin go to Sachem???

This isn't true at all. Nassau is 10x worse with italians. The hamptons (located in suffolk county) is only guidoed up in the summer.... same with Ocean Beach/Bay Park area. There is mass disgust here towards that and frequent problems at bars. It is hysterical. Being called Italian is an insult here ....

I watched the other day to see about the gal named Snooki because I saw a promo where she was sucker punched by a drunk frat guy.
I kept looking at Snooki's orange tan and thinking that she is an Oompa Loompa. They are all orange Oompa Loompas but they do not sing songs or impart important life lessons.

i'm sure i remember reading something in the booklet that came with sounds of science, in the "fight for your right" part where yauch says something like "we hate this song, our frat boy schtick was embarrassing; i guess if you pretend to be something for long enough you actually become it"

All I know is, if MTV does not put The Situation on Real World/Road Rules challenges I will be forever pissed.
In fact they should just make a RWRR vs. JS challenge.
It would be so money.
I'm so sick of the cliques on those RW vs. RR challenge shows anyway (rookies v. vets schtick is done, son).
I could just see Ronnie going MMA on some guy in the Inferno. (That's one shot, Kid...One Shot! Come at me Bro!!)
JWOWW! would smother those girls.
I'm fairly certain The Situation would perform poorly in competitions. He may be ripped and stuff but he's not athletic and pretty much an all around pussy.

Snookie v. the little blonde girl that they keep around because she's not a threat would be interesting as well.

'Jersey Shore' to return for 2nd season

Jan. 30, 2010, 7:08 AM EST
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -- MTV's "Jersey Shore" will be back for a second season.
The network's president of programming Tony DiSanto said Friday that 12 new episodes will air this summer.

According to the network, Pauly D, Mike, Snooki, Jenni, Sammi, Ronnie and Vinny escape the cold northeast and find themselves in a new destination.

Thank God, I'm already starting to go through withdrawl.

When they went to talk with their new employer Pauly D had this gem of a quote.....My boss seems to think that my hair is gonna fall off & go into the ice cream. This hair ain’t movin’ my dude. 150mph on the highway on a street bike… it doesn’t move! What makes you think it’s gonna move in a gelato shop?

JWow was mad at Angelina and this quote came out of her mouth......I’m putting Vaseline on my face, taking my earrings out, putting my hair up & I’m beating the crap out of her.
