Okay, I'm prepared to get flamed since I think this was the band featured in "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" but what are people's thoughts on them?

I actually hadn't heard of them until a friend of mine asked me to go to their show with her recently.

They put on a decent show, I like the way they trade off vocals and instruments. They have too many guitar players, though. I counted three in addition to the bass player, keyboard player, extra percussionist and I think there was a guy with a horn at one point too. That might have been the opener, though.

Anyway, I liked it in Cold War Kids kind of way.

I didn't know they were featured in that movie. Damn.

The two songs of theirs that I know I thought were exceptional! ('the plot' & 'while we go dancing').

Those are nearly perfect pop songs, and I mean that as among the highest compliments you can give a band.

So I guess I like 'em. Or at least those 2 songs!

when that movie came out, an ex told me that it was my ideal date movie. i haven't been on a date since then, though....


i think one of my friends went to go see them play at bonnaroo this summer. i've only heard a few of their tracks, but they arent too bad. definitely something i could get more into.
