Drank and drove for the first time in years sunday since I hit a pole like I was literally blackout drunk and I can honestly say I truly feel like shit that it happened like the bad feeling you get when you wake up the next day from a night of drinking yea that feeling. I guess what makes me feel worse is I was talking to my sister about it and she told me I could never see my nephew again if I do something this stupid again.

You should feel bad. I have zero tolerance for drunk drivers in this day and age.

well, at least being blatantly idiotic makes you feel bad. it's a step in the right direction.

I can't quite figure out what happened. The story is all over the place.

Did you hit a pole on Sunday or did you hit a pole years ago?

Yeah man, ease up on the dd. I have done it a few times myself but never again. I often kick my own ass for doing so.

Use grammar. Your story is unclear.

I think I wrote a thread about it when it happened, not sure if I did but I had some friends get in a horrible accident due to booze cruising.

Luckily nobody was killed but one of my friends had to have reconstructive surgery done on his face and he also had some broken bones and he was the passenger. The driver walked away without a scratch but he now will be in dept forever and he's facing some prison time.

Also 4 years ago, a friend of mine's uncle was out drinking and driving his motorcycle and wrecked into the back of a stopped car on the highway and was killed instantly.

Those 2 personal things plus the tons of other d and d deaths help me not to consider driving.

Not being able to see your nephew is good enough encouragement not to.

the only time I ever drive drunk is when I know a person who's about to drive is drunker than me. still dumb, obviously.

that doesn't happen very often though. I don't have a car and know very few people who drive when they go out. buses, trains, and cabs are just too available to take chances on drunk driving.
