in an unfortunate bit of mother nature milans game with fiorentina has been postponed due to snow.

milan has beckham and the Ghanaian wonderkid Dominic Adiyiah coming in during the jan. transfer window. got some good youth and attacking danger from the sides with pace which is nice.

i found out the other day that ac milan was founded by englishmen, i cant be arsed finding the links but apparently thats why they are called ac milan and not ac milano.

i'll make another contribution - which players and clubs in italy do you think mancini will plunder with all city's cash?

none of them personally. man city need help in the back, no ones really got quality surplus backs besides inter, and i dont see them letting anyone go.

i did read something about man city making a double swoop for villa and silva. but they already have so many midfield and forward choices, mancini just needs to find a system to get the best out of them.

are you forgetting that city went over with a manager who is less regarded than mancini in italy with a load of cash and had £100million bid accepted for Kaka so dont count it.

little bit of a different scenario. milan knew they were going to sell kaka to someone. man city are set on offense now, unless they just want to bring in more players to have make someone else really good sit on the bench.

everyone whos a good player in the back is pretty essential to their team at the moment.

maybe if they want to pip materazzi off inter they'll let that happen. i dont see miacon, lucio, cuivu, samuel, cordoba, santon, or zanetti leaving.

milan and juve both are thin in the back.

possibly if they want to throw a bunch of cash at roma for mexes, i could see that happening.

but if they come up with silly money it'll just kick off a load of transfer activity and players will be going every which way.

i'll get galliani on the horn and get back to you. prognosis not looking good though, as we would most likely have to pay a transfer fee, and we at milan frown upon such pedestrian things.

Yeah, Milan prefer to get their corrupt politician for an owner to pay off referees.

I have a question for you checkyourprez. After Ronaldinho scored a fantastic hat trick for Milan today, taking his tally to 11 goals this season already - compared to 10 for the whole of last season - what do you think has motivated him in this world cup year?

well to be honest i think its several factors.

first off hes actually playing, which is a major factor for a footballer. carlo didnt appreciate ronnie the way leo does. second with playing more comes a confidence to try things that he used to do quite regularly. sometimes as a footballer you run into a mental block and get yourself off your game.

also with the absence of kaka (which is looking like a fantastic deal for milan) ronnie is the star of the show. a lot more of the attack runs through him. logically, with him seeing more of the ball it is allowing him to do more with it.

the fact that it is a world cup year i think is honestly inconsequential. ronnie is in the top 5 footballers anyone will have ever seen or ever will see.

and you are right rirv, that hat trick was quite fantastic. he could have had 2 or 3 others. he made some really nice moves to get almost the same chip shot on goal 2 times which either one would have been goals of the utmost caliber. he is 3rd in the league in goals, and tops in assists. man is just beasting.

and id like to throw a little love out to marco borriello. he was getting dogged by a lot of people as not having the class of milan. but most of those people really had no clue as to what they were talking about. he was injured most of last year. his volley today was simply sublime. a goal of the highest order that ANY footballer would be mighty proud with.
