what do you do if you keep seeing the same person on the bus?

there's this man on my bus who I call my "bus boyfriend", he looks like a thinner (but not so thin), better-looking Kevin Smith. he also reads comic books and has a bag with comic-booky pins on it.

anyway, before I was dating my walking boyfriend, I kind of thought bus guy was cute. and I think he kinda thought I was cute too. but we never talked or anything, just exchanged glances.

now that it's winter and I'm on the bus all the time, I see him all the time, and he keeps looking at me, and he sat by me the day before yesterday. and I just keep ignoring him because I think he has a crush on me, and I maybe had a crush on him before, but not now because I like my boyfriend way better.

is that just fine? or should I be like, "oh, hey guy". we obviously recognize each other, it's starting to get awkward.

I think I'll just keep ignoring him, but what would you do?

Why don't you just start acknowledging him every day by saying "morning" then work up to proper conversation from there.

Or alternatively you could woman up and stop asking people you've never met on the internet for life advice.

if it were me, I would only say good morning (or whatever time it is) if he happened to sit next to me again or something. If he's further than that and you wave, that could be awkward since you have not actually spoken a word to each other.

And if after that initial greeting he wants to keep talking, why not. He'll be a new bus buddy!

I don't know about your area but in my area if I take the bus alone, weird people ALWAYS talk to me and I hate it. Men or women, it doesn't matter. But they are always a little off and weird and for some reason they are drawn to me like flies. Maybe I look like a nice person or something. I should scowl more.

Point is, I would love to have a bus buddy to keep the weirdos away. So there's no harm in having this bud buddy. :)

The only people I regularly see on the bus are a bunch of schoolkids and they are SO annoying. They keep shouting at eachother and embarrass all the other kids by asking 'cool' questions about sex.
I once overheard a conversation about some kid who thought the main dude was his friend and the dude was like 'naaah man, he's crazy, i'm not his friend blablah'. Then some other kid said "Dude, he might cry if you told him that" and the dude was all "I don't care. What's he thinking anyway, I don't befriend nerds!"...
Intersting fact: This dude is king of the dorks.

But Dottie: If the guy is nice/cool/whatever I would just greet him. It would make things less akward, I guess. He doesn't have to be bf material, but maybe you can just make a new friend. Maybe you should ask him if he likes Kevin Smith films.
