I was just thinking, surely even back when Yauch made his announcement and everything got put on hold, the album had been pressed, artwork printed etc etc? If so, is it sat in boxes somewhere waiting to be shipped?

If this is the case, a sudden announcement of a release date within a week would be feasible - they could do a ‘surprise’ Lettermen performance a few days before - blow everyone away and then hit us all with a quick release.

This is all just wishful thinking but Jack White’s side project the Raconteurs did a similar thing - we got a fan mail out saying their new album would come out in a weeks time - at that point nobody even knew a title or that it was even coming out, just that they were working on it!! Boom suddenly there was a new album! This was to combat bootlegging and even made it so the fans heard it before it got reviewed. Always good to be one step ahead.

Come on fellas, let’s have a surprise announcement... ok?

If it was pressed I'm sure it would have been leaked. It'll be out before we know it though.

I'm totally with you. Funny, I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to say anything because I remember all the backlash and how crazy people got thinking that we were selfish and only cared about the album and not Yauchs' health, which of course we all did/do.

I think with it being 2010 we're all just getting anxious and hoping daily for any type of update.

Like I don't care when it comes out, cuz when Adam's health is better that's when it'll be ready. But, I'm wondering if the artwork is gonna have the copyright date of 2009? Were the cds definitely printed up is my curious question.
