Sea Shepherd has also worked closely with, and received donations from, celebrities.Sean Penn(Advisory Board Member),Martin Sheen, Darryl Hannah, and Richard Dean Anderson (Macgyver!) have joined the group during protests. The group has also been financially supported through contributions from actors including Edward Norton, Pierce Brosnan, Christian Bale, and Emily Deschanel. From the music industry, Mick Jagger, Anthony Kiedis, Leona Lewis and Rick Rubin have also financially supported the Sea Shepherd. Both the musical groups Ignite and Propagandhi have raised funds through promotional online sales. I'm for anyone that wants to risk thier lives for their beliefs but to put others lives in danger, as these guys do by thier tactics, they are nothing but terrorists in my opinion.

That is an open ended statement. Is Bob Barker a terrorist or are the whales terrorists?

your opinion is moot...the only terror occurring is environmental and it's being carried out by the Japanese fleet in Australian Antarctic territorial waters..."eco-terrorism" is a post 9/11 catch phrase, used in a blanket dismissal and slander of organizations such as Earth First and Greenpeace who actively organize against and disrupt commercial, corporate and industrial infrastructures...within the next 50 yrs they will be recognized as being both implemental and invaluable in leading conservation efforts while impotent, incompetent governments continue to fail the planet and the species...

That's what they get for putting such a fancy boat in the way of a Japanese Security ship....what a waste of money, all hype no help.

your opinion is moot.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious as the same can be said about your opinion.

I'm for the cause but disagree with the tactics by these guys and anyone else that puts people in harms way or destroys other people's property to prove their moot point.

But it might get them some tv ratings and news attention so not all is a loss. The boat did look bad ass though.

The only thing that boat is good for is publicity - and maybe speed if sea conditions are suitable.

nothing environmentally sound with half your boat floating about in the ocean (n)

I appreciate the cause, I disagree with the way they are handling it

I'm confused. how are the sea shepherd people endangering lives? the japanese whalers are the ones who rammed the boat, right?

...says Paul Watson, the captain of the Steve Irwin.
Whatya expect him to claim?

You've apparently never seen his show Whale Wars, because the guy is an absolute criminal IMO.
I also have no idea how he ever got, or continues to keep his Captian's license with how repeatedly cavalier he is with the lives of his crew.
