09 album a brief history of love is pretty good imo.
a bit of an 80s synth sound with some strokes ish sounding current rock.

I like 'em... Echo & the Bunnymen type of sound.... more lush, smoother

I like the cd but in a way I think their influences are waaaaay too obvious. There's a fine line between paying homage and sounding just like someone else. As you listen to it you can pin every song to some other band.

I can't remember off the top of my head which other ones I thought of as I listened to it but I do remember thinking after every song wow, this really sounds like...
Anyway, that said I've only listened to it a couple times. It was an enjoyable listen I guess.

i only know dominos. not bad stuff, although i don't think i could listen to a lot of them. for me, this sort of style has its time and place.
