View Full Version : Eminem - It's fucking weird how good he actually is

All up, the 'pop singles' aside, not a bad decade and change worth of work. Getting sober worked wonders for him.

I think he's better than Jay at present, and depending how this Damian Marley thing plays out, probably Nas too. Been going back through his discography; if you cherry pick a bit he's pretty much untouchable.

Am I mental?

most stuff since "The Eminem Show" is alright-to-poor for me.

In the grand scheme of things, I may well consider him a wasted talent, given the stuff he puts out versus how good he is as a rapper.

Em's the weakest on that though, although he's still pretty good.

I think he edges it for me.

That's just my opinion though.

I went from hating him to completely respecting him in the past decade.

I knew he was good from the gate. 8 mile sort of hit me wrong though. I've seen it again and now I believe it's a Classic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSzAb34Ub-M).

He keeps bringing his A game and it's just fucking sick as all hell.

i was eating pussy last night/early this morning, :p.

what is the basis for your slanderous claims that eminem is equivalent to akon? besides just having a limited knowledge of the hip hop genre.

I used to listen to Eminem when I was bout 14, when the Slim Shady EP came out. I loved that and thought the Marshall Mathers LP was even better, but after that I lost interest.
I don't know what it is, but in the last couple of singles I heard from him, he seems to be rapping in this really weird and childish voice and it annoys me.
Maybe he became too mellow as well, I dunno. I liked him best when he was really angry at something.

You know, Jimi Hendrix didn't really change a lot from the beginning till now and I will never find him real. Doesnt matter for how long he pops out silly tracks.

In my personal guitarist league he stands right next to Jack Johnson and Ringo Starr.

Far as Eminem....psssh. He's alright, but he don't have half the swag of OJ Da Juiceman or Gucci Mane.

I always liked how he said "I got a Lion in my pocket" instead of saying it was 1999 when he recorded the verse.

As a matter of fact, Charlie Parker really doesn't impress me. He'll never be real to me. What does he do that John Tesh or Kenny G can't do?

In my personal jazz saxophonist league he stands right next to Akon and Ringo Starr.

Yeah, Mickill just doesn't impress me. He'll never be real to me. It doesn't matter how many silly posts he makes.

In my personal message board league he stands right next to ToucanSpam and Adrockisasexybeast17.

I would never admit this in real life but I kind of like him. I always have. I even liked him in the movie. :o

Everyone knows the best rappers of all time are Kurtis Blow, The Sugarhill Gang and the Fat Boys.

Ever since the Fat Boys hip hop has went down hill with all this "ganster" rap.

Can't we bring it back to the old days, when people rapped about hotels and motels and alley oops?

Em 1998-2001 was the best lyricist of all time. Fact.

To me his verses on Renegade are the best ever put on record.
